Saturn-Neptune Conjunction 2025-2026
This major planetary alignment has historic implications.

First, Saturn and Neptune are conjunct in Pisces until February 2026
Structure vs. Dreams
Saturn restricts, limits, disciplines, contains. Saturn is patient, controlling and regimented. It likes structures, rules, clocks and fences. It always tells the truth, no matter how harsh.
But Neptune dreams, wishes, imagines, envisions. Neptune thinks everything is chill and groovy. It likes lucid dreamscapes, foggy mists, and floating away on the waves. Neptune spins a web of spirituality and gossamer fantasy – and thinks harsh truth is so overrated.
And this planetary odd couple have been on an awkward “road trip” together – orbiting in conjunction through the sign of Pisces since March 2023.
Now, Neptune has mostly been fine with it… the king of the ocean rules over the sign of the Fishes, and he is fluid and content in his domicile in Pisces where dreams can flow without restraint.
Neptune entered Pisces in 2011, so it’s been a chill ride through familiar territory these last 14 years. The influence of this placement, especially on those with prominent Pisces in their chart, has been to deepen their intuition and spirituality over the last decade.
(True story: before now, the last time Neptune was in Pisces coincided with the rise of the 19th-century American Spiritualist movement.)
And even for those who don’t have significant Pisces placements, this Neptune transit has created a collective social sense of being underwater, and seeing reality as if through a hazy aquatic filter of detachment.
But then in 2023, the binding rings of Saturn jumped in the car for the last few miles of the trip, pushing boundaries and guidelines… and Neptune wasn't suddenly interested in buckling up and driving the speed limit (even if it might ordinarily yield to stern Saturn).
So, if Saturn couldn’t get its way enforcing discipline and rules, it was going to at least try its damnedest to tear down all the underwater mirages and fairytales Neptune had been spinning in Pisces.
So they’ve been butting heads for three years. Structures have been washed away, on both individual human levels and also in broader social settings. The troublesome institutional norms to which we've all been comfortably numb (or in straight denial) for a while are getting flooded out – by the relentless cosmic conflict of Saturn trying to force us to look past Neptune’s fantasies, at the harsh truths of life. But it’s coming to an end, in just a few weeks.
Pisces is the 12th and final sign of the zodiac, and Neptune will spend most of January in the 29th and final degree of the sign.
Then, the latest chapter of this wacky buddy road-trip flick finally wraps up at midnight on January 26, 2026 — when Neptune tries to break away from its joyless passenger, and slips into Aries.
